April Lopez has over 10 years of teaching experience and continues her career at Trenton High School as the Digital Media instructor and language arts teacher, grades 9 & 11. Prior to working at THS, she worked for 5 years in alternative education in Lander, Wyoming near the Wind River Indian Reservation. She taught for a few years in Detroit and in Taylor, Michigan.  She graduated with double-major Bachelors of Science in English Language Arts & Communications and has earned her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. 

April Lopez proudly sponsors the Digital Media Club, as the Trenton Public Schools Television (TPS-TV) director and instructor. The group films many events for the Trenton School District and provides content to the staff and community about Trenton High School and its neighboring schools and businesses. In April Lopez's spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children and dogs, reading, binge-watching Netflix series, cooking, and continuing her side work in construction.
