Andrea Thorn is entering her 17th year as an educator with Trenton Public Schools.  She is currently the Director of Special Services for Trenton Public Schools.

Before beginning her new role as Director, she taught at THS as a resource room teacher and lead teacher for PAES for 14 years. Prior to that, she taught at W.C Taylor Elementary in Trenton as a part of the hearing-impaired program.  She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University, earned her Master’s degree in Special Education-Learning Disabilities from Wayne State University as well as her Ed Specialist in Special Education Adminstration. In her spare time she enjoys adventures with her family, caring for her two boys and baking cookies.
