The Practical Assessment Exploration System (PAES) is a comprehensive curriculum for mildly cognitively impaired students. In cooperation with the Downriver Career Technical Consortium, Trenton High School offers the PAES Program to elgible students in grades 11 and 12 as well as students aged 18-21. This program empowers students by providing them with valuable vocational and life skills in a real world setting. PAES students utilize a research-driven assessment system to pinpoint their strengths and functional abilities for community-based employment. Furthermore, they perform various jobs throughout the school building to practice these skills in a workplace environment, fostering a sense of accomplishment and belonging within the Trenton High School community.
