Sara has been an educator with Trenton Public Schools since 2009. She is currently a teacher consultant for the deaf/hard of hearing, servicing Trenton as well as other districts in the downriver area. She started out teaching the deaf/hard of hearing students at Trenton High School then moved over to Hedke Elementary and worked with students with hearing loss in the center program. She double majored at Eastern Michigan University, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, Special Education (Hearing Impairments) and Reading. She completed her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education at EMU as well.  In her spare time she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband and two children.
