Ms. Robin Ritchey

Ms. Ritchey began her teaching career in 1988 at Trenton High School as a teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing. After ten years with Trenton Public Schools as a self contained classroom teacher, Ms. Ritchey enjoyed four years at home with her two young boys. When she returned to teaching it was in the role of special education resource and mathematics teacher at Patrick Henry Middle School in Woodhaven. Having taught in the classroom for 15 years in Woodhaven Brownstown Schools, Ms. Ritchey was ready for a new challenge and returned to Trenton Public Schools in the fall of 2017 to work as a teacher consultant for the deaf and hard of hearing. She has enjoyed learning all the newest capabilities of hearing assistive technology and making numerous new connections with students and staff in the many districts where she provides service.

Her two "young" boys are now in their late twenties, both graduates of Michigan State University. Ms. Ritchey enjoys spending time with family, hiking and kayaking, reading, and quilting. She has recently started a relationship with knitting, but it is a tangled one she may soon abandon.
