Student participation, parental involvement, dedicated coaches, and our supportive community continue to propel the success of our programs and traditions! Traditionally, Our Trojans are well represented for their hard work and dedication in the classroom.
Athletes that carry and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.3 are recognized as Downriver League All-Academic recipients.

Trenton High School is a member of the Downriver League which includes Allen Park, Carlson, Edsel Ford, Lincoln Park, Southgate, Taylor, Woodhaven, and Wyandotte. With over 57% of the entire student body participating in athletics, it certainly illustrates the level of student involvement in our school activities. Trenton High School offers 26 Varsity level sports and 47 total teams with JV and Freshman levels included. Our student participation, parental involvement, dedicated coaches, and supportive community continue to propel the success of our programs and traditions.
Many team and individual accolades were achieved by Trenton athletes this year, as banners were raised for League Championships for Girls Golf, Girls Volleyball, and Girls Swim in the fall. Trenton celebrated the delayed winter sports season with League Championships in Boys Hockey and Girls Basketball. Trenton High School Athletics is very excited for our upcoming spring season as all spring sports in the State of Michigan were canceled last year due to COVID.
Traditionally, the Trojans have been well represented for their hard work and dedication in the classroom. All Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Varsity athletes that carry and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.3 are recognized as Downriver League All-Academic recipients. The 2019-2020 school year compiled 57 Seniors, 66 Juniors, and 52 Sophomores (for a total of 175 athletes) being recognized for this achievement. In addition, All-State Academic teams included Girls Swim, Girls Volleyball, Girls Golf, Girls Tennis, Boys Hockey, Boys Wrestling, and Girls Basketball.Trenton High School Athletics will also introduce multiple new facilities to its athletes and spectators in 2021. Girls Soccer will utilize the new field for games and practices for the first time. Boys and Girls Track have a track surface, long jump, and pole vault pits, a new shot put and discus area, as well as a new digital track timing system. The Baseball and Softball teams will play on brand new turf fields and utilize brand new LCD scoreboards. A brand new 11 lane pool will open for the fall 2021 Girls Swim season in September, and the old pool will be retrofitted into the new fitness room by September 2021.

Trenton Athletics adopted a new Trojan helm logo. A committee of coaches and graphic designers, created a new logo based on the premise: “be unique,” and showcase a helm that was gender and race neutral. This new Trojan helm identifies all Trenton students are Trojans!
