Calista Bacalis started as an educator for Trenton Public Schools in 2001.  She is currently a Teacher Consultant for Deaf and Hard of Hearing servicing local districts in the Downriver Area.  Before becoming a Teacher Consultant for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, she taught in a center-based hearing impaired classroom within the district.  She has a Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University in Special Education of Hearing Impaired Students and earned her Master’s degree in Curriculum Development.  In her spare time she likes to go on outdoor adventures and spend time with her family.
