Devin Logan and Drake Ryzner take 1st Place @ MITES Competition!
In April, THS CAD AND WOODSHOP students attended a field trip to the Trenton Forging Plant. Students were given a tour by the president of the company and were able to see the plant in action. Students toured the hammer plant, engineering and design office, and saw how raw materials became finished products.
THS Business Students attend Career Day @ Comerica Park.
On 4/13/17, 30 THS Business Students, Mr. Crews, Mrs. Marcum and Mr. Diroff attended Career Day @ Comerica Park. Professionls from Business Marketing, Sports Marketing and Sports Medicine presented to students about their path to their current career. Nice work Mr. Crews setting this up as part of your DCTC Business Program. Next trip.....New York City- Have Fun!
Cub Scouts Learn about Small Engines
Mr. Monaco, THS's Auto and Small Engine Repair instructor, along with Ethan Adams, THS Student, met with local cub scouts in the THS Auto Shop on 3/7/17 and went over the basics about small engines/ repair. Nice Job Mr. Monaco!
NEW EQUIPMENT IN FOR DIGITAL MEDIA!
Thanks to DCTC, the new DIGITAL MEDIA course @ THS has received some much needed new equipment. The equipment allows our Digital Media course and club to capture HD footage and process it. It also provides our students with a higher level of technical training, they can take with them to media programs at the college level.
Congratulations to Trenton High School's Virtual Enterprise Firm Roasted. Business students traveled to Chicago, IL to compete with 60 schools in Michigan, Indiana and Illinois at The 2017 Great Lakes Trade Show. Roasted took 1st Place for Impact Marketing, 2nd Place for Salesmanship and finished in The Top Ten in the categories of Print Ad, Brochure and Catalog. Job well done. Students interested in Virtual Enterprise for the 2017-2018 school should see Mr. Crews.
