Mr. Douglas Mentzer, Ed.S

Douglas Mentzer began his career as an educator with Trenton Public Schools in 1994. He is currently serving as Superintendent of Schools. Before becoming Superintendent, he served in the capacity of a high school teacher, department chairperson, assistant principal, athletic director, and most recently, principal at Anderson Elementary School. Addtionally, while at the high school, he coached Varsity Football and Girls Track & Field for eleven years. He graduated from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 1992 and earned a Master's Degree in principalship in 1998 and Specialist Degree in Superintendency in 2009 from Eastern Michigan University. In his spare time, he enjoys his family, fishing, and coaching soccer. Here's a quick message from the principal:

To help us achieve our goals, we encourage you to involve yourself in our children’s ongoing educational development. A partnership between students, staff, parents, and the community is the key to encouraging students to reach their highest potential. We truly believe it takes an entire village to educate a child. Our family...our house!
