The 2018 Governor's Cyber Challenge at The North American Cyber Summit.

On Monday October 29, THS's own Trojans attended The 2018 Governor's Cyber Challenge at The North American Cyber Summit. Students Jacob Bryzys, Anakin Hamilton and Tyler Lazarski traveled to Detroit's Cobo Hall and placed 4th among the Top 5% of cyber students in the state. The three students compete for Trenton High School's Cyber Patriot Team as well. The Top 3 teams were recognized on stage in front of industry attendees. The Trojans made a valiant effort to place Top 3 by scoring over 300 points in the last hour of competition to pull within 14 points of eventual 3rd place finisher Okemos High School.

Students were treated to lunch followed by a job fair in their honor. For finishing Top 10, students won a voucher for a Security + Bootcamp followed by a certification exam. Once certified, students will be employable in entry level cyber security positions where salaries range from $54,000 to $121,000 annually according to Zip Recruiter. The team was accompanied by Industry Coach Chris Sorensen and Faculty Adviser Chris Crews.
